  • Notes: The Teaching will perform at the brand new Bake’s Place in Bellevue as they celebrate the release of their new album “Live at Dazzle”. Recorded in Denver, CO it showcases five compositions which The Teaching developed during their three and a half years hosting The Hang, a weekly improvised music session. From All About Jazz’s review of the album, “The five songs are a vibrant feast of sound: the melodies are fresh and radiant, and provide a springboard for the group’s open and shifting improvisations”. The Teaching was awarded the Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Award for Best Northwest Acoustic Jazz Ensemble in 2009. This will be their first Seattle area performance of 2012, not to be missed.
